6th International Symposium on Knowledge and Capacity for the Water Sector

Guidelines for Contributors

Please find below the latest information for all contributors to our forthcoming 6th International Symposium on Knowledge and Capacity for the Water Sector, including, authors, keynotes, moderators and track teams.

We advise you to check back regularly, and follow latest developments on Twitter at #CapDevSymp

1. Information for authors

A. Preparing your contribution

Presentations: Wherever possible, contributors are encouraged to provide a video of their presentation. Your Track Lead will be in touch regarding any change to the content requirements of your presentation. Specific technical criteria for videos will be posted on this webpage soon.

Posters: Posters will remain in landscape format, but will now be required as an A4 PDF. If you have already prepared your poster, you should be able to prepare an A4 PDF directly from your design software. Readers will be able to size the poster in order to view. Otherwise you can refine the main points down to A4.

If you have NOT already prepared your poster, we advise you to prepare it as an A4 PDF from the start. To give an idea of what can reasonably fit into these mini-posters, we have prepared four templates, which you can use if you wish (click here for pdf and here for InDesign).

Extended Abstracts: There is no change to the existing guidance on preparing and submitting extended abstracts, which you can find here.

B. Submitting your contribution

Symposium Platform: We are aiming for a platform launch of 17 April. This platform will host all of the content and places for discussion and provide a gateway to live and recorded events. We will be in contact with you nearer the time with guidelines and assistance to help you in submitting your content.

Information for Moderators

Getting the most from the platform: While we’re currently revising the symposium programme to fit into the online format, we hope to conduct the plenary sessions in much the same way as originally planned. We are aiming for a platform launch of 17 April and will be in contact with you nearer the time with guidelines and assistance to help you with the key features you’ll need to moderate your session/s.
